Urappakkam is a small village 2 hours from Chennai in Tamil Nadu - India. It is a master unit that preserve a wonderful spiritual vibration.

There are 160 children in our school and 18 children in the Childrens Home. They are mostly from the local area.

Next Thursday night, four of our young people from Familia AMURTEL in Panatau will be singing on stage at the Teatru National together with Loredana Groza, a Romanian pop star, and 9 other children part of the project "Sperante" (Hope).

As a commercial organic farm Ananda Marga Peach Farm is labor intensive. The yoga and meditation sign seems in contrast with the harsheness of the semi-desert environment of the area, one hour distance from Los Angeles, in the mountain ridge near Lake Hughes,CA. Yet it is a blissful place. There are many lessons to learn here, maybe one for each person.

Raising the consciousness through Theatre in Déou, Burkina Faso - a project proposal

Both AMURT's and AMURTEL's efforts to respond to the hurricane disaster and the progressive development programs will be highlighted through the experiences of our volunteers present here, right now. Very soon we start uploading videos showing the situation in Haiti from inside. Both in urban and rural devastated zones, inspiring voices and touching stories from the local population will bring closer to the world the extreme situations and the reality full of life in this country. We will also balance the updates between news from the disaster relief and the exponentially succesful grassroots approach to sustainable development

One of the projects that WWD has been working on over the last months has been Grants Pen Wellness Program for Women, which I like to call WOW! (Women of Wellness).  Here is a synopsis on that initiative to keep you up to date.

Wellness for Women Project in Grants Pen (WOW)

Women for Wellbeing and Development (WWD) in collaboration with Shakti Fitness Centre, Rescue, AMCHAM and other agencies associated with community development in Grants Pen, started a wellness program for the women of Grants Pen in order to encourage and empower them to be leaders of wellness in their community.
