In June 2009 Ac. Viveka and Dada Nabhaniilananda conducted a 3 day Meditation Class Teachers Training at Ananda Kanan. It was designed for margiis (or WTs) who would like to teach an introductory meditation course, or are already doing so, and would like to upgrade their skills.

Visiting the Ananda Marga school in Hyderabad - India, Ac. Priyatoshananda Avt. conceded to be interviewed on the subject of service. Such a relevant subject today was developed by Acaryaji with very clear answers to editor's questions:

"Obstacles are the concomitants of Sa'dhana, struggling is a good sign, By these obstacles Sa'dhakas can understand that their Spiritual practice is on the right track. Spiritual Philosophy comes into being only when Sa'dkakas struggling with Avidya's hindrances, Vindicates their move towards Brahma after defeating the base propensities of Avidya' by their own intellect and judgment."

Haridwar is one of the most saintly places of all India. Located north of Delhi on the river Gange, many tourists go there for a holy bath that guarantees salvation according to Hindu tradition. A gigantic statue of Shiva is welcoming and blessing the devotees. There is a fervent labor on going for the coming Mela where thousands and thousands of spiritual people will come from all over India.

MY INDIA
Is it a coincidence? Boarding the Satabdi train in Dhanbad I tell the conductor the wrong coach name but I am guided to the right seat by two dadas in orange. Of course I am glad to be near them but how could it have possibly happened? We booked the train at two different times and we were going in two different directions. They decided to change their travel route for some reason. Still puzzled I look at the person who brought me to my seat. He is now serving tea and biscuits to all the passengers - a very heartfelt form of hospitality in the Indian express trains. I tell him that I don't want any refreshment and he looks at me as if he was really displeased I was not accepting a token of his personal welcome.

Fasting days can be very boring or very exciting. It depends on us. In Boston we choose the second option and we run into a stream of contacts that started in the small Westborough municipality and ended at Harvard University in the Divinity School.

More than 200 people attended the Earth Day Celebration on April 18 hosted by Ananda Dhiira and the California College of Ayurveda.
